#Evernote pricing how to#
Also, check out the Beginner’s Guide To Using Evernote where I share tips on how to use the free note-taking app~ĭisclosure: Some of the links below are affiliate links. Here are the pros and cons of Evernote and why I love using this note-taking app. Which you probably know from all the Evernote screenshots in my blog posts. In fact, I’m actually writing this article in Evernote right now (which I’ll transfer to WordPress, self-edit, format then publish to my blog).Įvernote plays a big role in my life. I use Evernote on a daily basis for my day job as a marketer and for my personal passion when I’m writing my novel and blogging. I started using the app for work but have now extended it to all parts of my life. However, this didn’t work for me because I like to add details to my tasks.Īnd this was when I stumbled upon Evernote.

A to-do list or task management app might be the first thought that comes to your mind. Hence, when I started working, I immediately searched for a tool to organize my tasks. Who also have business and non-bussiness products deal with this specific situation. As an ISTJ with a high “J” score, I like to have things organized. Im curious how other companies like Microsoft. Is Evernote in its right's to do this? I dont know. And just buy it like a regular end-consumer for private use. You're going to lose a bit in VAT rebate. I think Evernote should just clear up a bit how this all works. Im pretty sure they did their legal homework. And want to charge business prices to businesses. If they dont want to sell their normal Evernote premium product to businesses. This needs a lot of legal digging to get an answer. Im not convinced you are necessarily right. It is reasonable that they want to offer more support to a business, and charge slightly more for that. They need to offer a different standard of service, when directly associating with businesses. Because they may have increased liability should something go wrong. They are clearly saying that THEY DO NOT want you to use their premium product to run a business. Especially when you claim back VAT.Īfter all you are likely using Evernote in a personal capacity too.īasically they are saying you need to buy the business package to be treated like a business. The price discrepancy is not that drastic either. I am not convinced that they need to offer the premium version of Evernote to business users. You could classify the Evernote premium as a 'discounted version' of Evernote business. So why not normal end consumers for personal use. Students can get big discounts on prices, for many digital products. They are offering a superior product to businesses.

Is it discriminatory pricing? I am not so sure. And Force you to buy their business version, if you would rather run your business practise on their Premium version? It becomes even more complicated.ĭoes Evernote have the right to use discriminatory pricing against you as a business user.

Add the fact that this is digital media, across many countries. This is a heavy legal debate you are bringing up. Other companies implement the VAT-stuff so they are wrong? No need for an answer … Yes - and the end-consumer in this case is a (small) company, who is paying taxes.
